IDM SUPERBIKE IN ASSEN: MARTIN BAUER ON THE PODIUM ONCE AGAIN
KTM rider Martin Bauer of Austria powered his RC8R Superbike to a podium place on Sunday on the Dutch circuit of Assen to move into second place in the IDM (German International Superbike) championship standings in the second-last race weekend of the competition.

Martin Bauer delivers first ever KTM Superbike victory in Oschersleben
Austria’s Martin Bauer gave KTM an almost perfect race weekend at the German International Superbike (IDM) Championship on Sunday when he rode the new KTM RC8R to first place in the first of two races. He then followed up with a second place when the second race was halted after the 14th lap.

Successful season debut for the KTM Superbike Team Germany!
KTM Superbike Team Germany enjoyed a positive start to the International German Superbike Championship (IDM) on Sunday with Martin Bauer overcoming a crash in the first race to be on the podium in the second, while Stefan Nebel, the 2009 vice-Champion was twice fourth for a strong start to the season.

KTM confirms its commitment to the IDM for 2010!
KTM, the Austrian sports motorcycle manufacturer, has confirmed its engagement in the International German Championship in 2010 at the finale of the IDM. As well as the official Superbike team, there will also be a private KTM 125ccm machine competing in the IDM.

Five KTM RC8R Superbikes were on the IDM start in Assen, three finished in the top 10 and Stefan Nebel of the KTM Superbike Team Germany successfully defended his second place in the championship standings in the penultimate round of the German International Superbike Championship.

Racing icon Jeremy McWilliams will be onboard a third KTM RC8R Superbike contesting the remainder of the IDM season for the KTM-Akrapovic Team as of Assen. McWilliams joins KTM’s Stefan Nebel and Kai-Boerre Anderson, who stands in for the injured Didier van Keymeulen on the starting line at the traditional Dutch circuit.
